Editor’s Comment: The news seems no longer the news, it’s seems more like mud-slinging. I’m weary of it. So when this old song came up on my ITunes, I played it over five times.
Editor’s Comment: This song is among the latest mix given to me by my daughter, Caitlin. We enjoy together music with meaning and while this one is not a favorite musical arrangement, the lyrics are powerful. Hope you enjoy.
Editor’s Comment: Heard this (as usual) while shuffling through my ITunes library on a run recently. Seems a perfect complement to my son, Timmy’s poem last month titled “Enough”.
Editor’s Comment: I haven’t seen this movie but my daughter has told me this song is sung by a man who is turning his life around. As one who has seen many do it successfully, the song simply moves me.
Editor’s Comment: Perhaps in honor of Martin Luther King day and all the immigration and human trafficking issues we face, this song came to me recently. When I listened to it again, I got the chills I always do. More importantly, I resolved (again) to lose more of my shyness about such issues.
Editor’s Comment: Editor’s comment: This Christmas, I reviewed over 100 songs my daughter Caitlin has given me over time (she started creating Daddy Mixes when she was 14) and picked my 18 favorite to give back to her as a “Best of Caitlin Mix”. This was one of my favorites since I am so often “lost in my mind”.
