Song of the Month: “Glad You Came" by Dalton Day
Editor’s note: At our daughter’s wedding, Kevin, our Musician, and his girlfriend Jessica sang “Glad You Came,” and it stopped us in our tracks. Its humble, wholehearted promise of loving well — even with scuffed shoes and messy hands — captures exactly why I connect with it so deeply. It’s the kind of love we all hope for our children, and why I wanted to share it with you.
Favorite lyrics:
"I've got holes in my shoes,
I got dirt on my hands,
but I'll take care of you better than any other man.
I'll hold you, until we all go.
You are my sweet, oh, you saved my soul."
