Editor's Note: This article, sent to me kindness of my Irish storytelling niece, Clare, is pretty amazing. My reaction after reading it was "hmmm, here I am talking about social business, and here's this 18 year old kid from Belfast actually doing it! A deep bow to Cameron Stewart and all the wild eyed optimists of the world who haven't been convinced "it can't be done!" [more]

Story: Excerpt from Bill Gate's famous commencement address at Harvard in 2007

Editor's Note: : I guess this really isn't a success story, per se, but this month's article is an excerpt from Bill Gate's famous commencement address at Harvard in 2007. I guess I view the success in two way that reflect this month's issue of the business of good website: 1. Bill Gates is the penultimate non-traditional, engaged philanthropist. 2. His words are those of a "searcher," not a planner. And that in fact is what I believe we need to be successful in battling global problems - a highly successful billionaire who not only wants to engage but knows he doesn't have the answers. For whatever else we may think of Microsoft or Mr. Gates, this article provides great formulas for our work. [more]
