Editor’s Note: On my run the other day, this song popped up which I’m sure I haven’t heard for 20 years. As I listened, it occurred to me the refrain is perfect political commentary for how I feel as one of a few moderate friends among extremists of both persuasions:

“Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right
