Editor’s Note:  Warning: If you’ve not read his books, be forewarned that Hiaasen is a bit twisted.  But if you’re neither politically ardent nor easily offended, this is a great release from the mania we’ve experienced in 2020.  I’ve been reading his ridiculously funny, irreverent social satirical commentary disguised as suspense novels since the mid-1980s.  Squeeze Me’s plot includes the usual wildly satirical characters of the author’s previous 20+ novels but this time the characters emerge a current covid/political environment of Palm Beach, FL.

Favorite excerpt:  “The POTUSsies often dined at Casa Bellicosa, the Winter White House, while the President was in residence.  He always made a point of waving from the buffet line or the pastry table.  During the pandemic lockdown, he even Zoom-bombed the women during one of their cocktail hour teleconferences.”
