In honor of college football season, I recall the funniest actual quote from a football coach I’ve ever heard.  About 25 years ago at the Big Ten season opening news conference, a reporter asked a coach (which one I cannot remember) whether he thought the highly complex offense he’d installed that summer would really work.  The coach responded, “well, I figure if we don’t know what we’re doing, it’s unlikely the opposing defense will figure it out”.
